Guitar aficionado, JESSE SILVA, originally hails from the Boston, Massachusetts, area (yes an avid Red Sox fan!) where he dreamed of playing guitar since childhood. By the tender age of 16, he had already self-taught his way into playing professional gigs with a country band called Avalanche, located in Florida.
Playing in original and cover bands throughout the East Coast, Maine to Florida and everywhere in-between, Jesse would eventually find a home in the New England critically acclaimed show band, Groove Alliance. Performing with them for over a decade, Jesse was honored to complete a successful United States run, as a regular at the prestigious BB Kings nightclub, the hottest music venue in Connecticut.
In 2007, (by special invitation of a highly regarded international organization), Jesse and his exceptional band mates, embarked on a tour of Baghdad, Iraq, playing for US and coalition troops, Iraqi staff and the diplomatic staff of The United States Embassy. Jesse was honored and humbled by the opportunity to use his talent to support our troops. Not being affiliated with the USO granted him the ability to truly connect with our troops in the most fortified and dangerous areas, including the infamous Green Zone (Central Iraq). This experience, and the gratitude of those troops, has changed Jesse’s perspective on life and music in profound ways.
His signature sound has evolved over time into a merging with the music in the most authentic sense that exists. He had always taken Eric Clapton’s “It’s what you don’t play that counts” message to heart, but his life experiences have taught him the wisdom of applying this depth to his already unique style of guitar playing. He has created a truly distinctive sound.
Since relocating to Florida in 2010, Jesse has continued to refine his craft in top quality bands along the Gulf Coast and Central FL.
He plays all genres of music, but his most inspired playing has always been with Country/Country Rock. This most recent combination with The Hoyt Hughes Band, and the sense that Hoyt Hughes’ music is “like coming home” has made this venture a particularly stand out moment in Jesse’s guitar adventures.
Jesse’s most notable influences are Danny Gatton, Brad Paisley, Warren Haynes.
